Good morning. Ag markets are trading quietly to start the day with corn and soybeans 2 cent to 3 higher and wheat futures 1 to 1 1/2 cents firmer. Commodity fund buying slowed considerably yesterday and markets responded with lower closes on pressure from moderate producer selling. Energy markets are firmer this morning. Crude oil is 40 to 45 cents/barrel higher and gasoline futures are 1 1/2 to 2 cents stronger. The Dollar is weaker; and stock futures are pointing towards a higher opening for U.S. equity markets. South American weather is a mixed bag. Brazil looks to be in good shape as dry areas of southern Brazil are expected to get beneficial rainfall during the upcoming weekend. Argentina will get some scattered rains late this week, but soil moisture levels in most crop areas will continue to decline.
